The Department

Accounts aim to enable the business to achieve its objective by delivering a proactive, customer focused support service through a knowledgeable, responsive and approachable partnership. The Tees Accounts function is centralised and is based in Bishops Stortford. The team deals with all of the accounting requirements for Tees Law and Wealth. Below is an overview of the team and areas of responsibilities.

Our Finance team plays a critical role in shaping our financial strategies, ensuring sustainability and optimising growth. Our team members carry out a diverse range of functions including managing our financial resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility, overseeing day-to-day financial operations, managing accounts payable and receivable, plus conducting financial analyses and preparing budgets.

Collaboration is at the heart of our as we work closely with our legal and financial professionals to provide financial guidance on client matters, ensuring billing accuracy, compliance with fee arrangements and supporting the overall financial management of each department.

The Role

We have a new opportunity for a Junior Credit Control Assistant to join our Accounts team in our Bishop's Stortford office.

As part of our busy and collaborative team you will be an integral part of our business, ensuring accurate and timely support to our legal and professional services teams.

Dealing with all areas of our credit control function, a Junior Credit Control Assistant will process legal transactions, ensuring an excellent client service is provided both to internal and external clients. Experience in a similar role and environment will be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite for this position. This is a trainee/entry level role and full training will be provided.  

This role is best suited to candidates that have an aptitude for numbers, a keen eye for detail and are committed to learning and developing their skillset as part of an experienced team. 

As a Junior Credit Control Assistant at Tees your role would include:

  • Responding quickly and completely to both client and internal queries.
  • Sending out statements to clients when requested
  • Sending copies of invoices to clients when required
  • Chasing overdue payments in accordance with the credit control policy.
  • Using excel and word to a proficent standard to undertake daily tasks.
