The Department

We are an award-winning, top-tier Legal 500 Medical Negligence team, recognised as one of the leading clinical negligence groups in the region. Our team includes dedicated experts specialising in brain injury, cancer, psychiatric injury, and obstetric and gynecological cases. We guide our clients in understanding what happened to them, securing the best possible treatment, rehabilitation, and compensation, and planning positively for their future.

The Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a complex caseload of client matters with minimal supervision.

  • Providing high-quality legal advice and proactively managing client relationships.

  • Achieving the firm’s fee targets while mentoring and developing junior team members.

  • Effectively managing your time to meet targets, ensuring efficient cash flow and credit-management systems, including time recording, lock-up, cash flow, profitability, and billing.

  • Identifying opportunities to add value to clients and improve profitability by anticipating and understanding client needs.

  • Contributing significantly to the firm’s reputation and standing within the community through your excellence.

  • Participating actively in professional and community activities to support the firm.

 

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in complex medical negligence cases.

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant case law and legislation, rules of procedure, and professional conduct standards.
