We offer expert legal services and independent financial advice to a wide range of clients, including individuals, businesses, professional partnerships, charities, schools, multi-academy trusts, and national corporations.

Founded in 1913, Tees has grown from a traditional family firm with strong community roots into a modern, forward-thinking practice. Our vision is simple: to be the firm of choice for delivering exceptional service.

At Tees, we believe in open, honest, and empathetic communication. No matter how complex the situation, we offer clear, long-term solutions tailored to each client’s needs. Our goal is not only to support our clients but to build brighter futures for them, their businesses, and their families.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and fluent French-speaking professional to join our Private Client Services team. The role involves providing comprehensive advice and support to clients on a range of personal legal matters, including:

  • Drafting Wills: Preparing clear and legally sound wills tailored to individual client needs.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney: Advising clients on the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney and managing related client matters, including Deputyships and Court of Protection applications, with a compassionate approach to the needs of elderly clients.
  • Inheritance Tax Planning: Offering guidance on basic Inheritance Tax planning, including exemptions and reliefs.
  • Holistic Advice: Considering the wider implications of transactions and advice, consulting with senior team members when necessary.
  • Estate Administration: Managing the administration of estates, including intestacies, with minimal supervision.
  • Team Support: Assisting senior team members with their caseloads, including independently managing cases during absences.
  • Legal Development: Staying informed about developments in Private Client law and applying this knowledge to client cases.
  • Additional Duties: Performing other reasonable duties as required.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Fluency in French: Ability to communicate effectively with French-speaking clients.
  • Client-focused approach: Empathy and understanding, especially when working with elderly or vulnerable clients.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to handle complex legal matters with precision and care.
  • Autonomy and teamwork: Capable of working independently while supporting senior colleagues in a team-oriented environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow within Private Client law, with a focus on client service excellence and bilingual communication.
